Recently, the Shaanxi Provincial Center for Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Research announced the results of the selection for the 2023 Shaanxi Provincial Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Research Projects. Our university has a total of 8 projects selected, among which the project “Research on Case Teaching of Shaanxi Imperial Mausoleum Culture Translation” proposed by our school was selected as a general project.

This project combines the training objectives of the MTI for specialized language service industry with the external communication needs of Shaanxi as a province rich in cultural heritage. It focuses on the translation and dissemination of Shaanxi Imperial Mausoleum culture to conduct case studies in MTI teaching. By identifying the optimal interdisciplinary theoretical approach, it organically integrates translation theory, specialized English for specific purposes theory, and cultural heritage theory. It investigates the current status of discourse construction in the translation of representative Shaanxi Imperial Mausoleum culture, seeks the discourse characteristics of the international communication of Shaanxi Imperial Mausoleum culture, and achieves effective integration with the international heritage discourse system.
